Registration for our Spring season typically runs from October or November until the date of our second rehearsal in January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyone!<\/strong> Any adult (age 18+) is welcome to join us regardless of any previous music or singing experience \u2013 there are no auditions to join! If you\u2019ve ever wanted to sing in a choir, now is the time! You won\u2019t regret it (we have a LOT of fun!) Our singers come from all over the Foothills and Calgary region \u2013 Okotoks, High River, Diamond Valley, DeWinton, Strathmore and from all quadrants of Calgary! We have members of all ages (20s to 80s) and abilities. Rehearsals take place on Wednesday evenings at Okotoks United Church<\/strong> (43 Riverside Drive) starting at 6:30pm. This is a fully accessible facility, with lots of parking. The first rehearsal is on Wednesday January 15, 2025<\/strong>. There will be a few additional Saturday rehearsals during the season, depending on which songs you choose to participate in, and whether you wish to participate in any choreography \u2013 dates and times of these will be shared at the first rehearsal.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Once you have registered and paid, most of the music will be made available for you to print at home (these are the songs which have been purchased in \u201ce-print format.\u201d) Any additional (hard copy) songs will be handed out at the first rehearsal.<\/p>\n

We will also provide you with online access to a recording of each song so you can hear what it sounds like, as well as specific part recordings to help you learn your part (aka the notes to sing.) Yes, please. We put on incredible shows after only a short season of rehearsals \u2013 you will increase your confidence with the music (and your enjoyment of the performance) by spending time singing on your own. We put all the tools in your hands to boost your learning at home \u2013 of course you will have your music and we also provide part recordings for each song, so it\u2019s easy and rewarding to practice on your own!<\/p>\n

We also offer weekly \u201csectional\u201d rehearsals, hosted by our section leaders (soprano\/alto\/tenor\/bass.) These informal gatherings are optional, often held in a choir member\u2019s home, and are so valuable and SO much fun. We have a strict policy on refunds as we purchase music, make plans and manage our financial commitments based on registered members. The $25.00 Society membership fee is non-refundable.
